On December 11th 2008, the Open Society Fund of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Office of the EU Special Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina together with other organisations, are co-organising a Regional Conference dedicated to discuss the role of CSOs in the EU integration process.

The Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia and the Macedonian Centre for European Training are organising a Conference “Quo Vadis, Macedonia?” on November 17th 2008 in the hotel “Holiday-Inn” in Skopje. The conference will focus on the Progress Report of the European Commission for the Republic of Macedonia for 2008 and the fulfilment of the Benchmarks of the Accession Partnership of February 2008. The four plenary sessions of the conference within which several key note speakers will give an introduction and plant the debate that will follow will give to Civil Society, Ministers and Members of Parliament, International and Local Experts the opportunity to state their opinions and debate on the main issuindexes and phases of the Accession Process.

The network of EU Trainers from the region of South-East Europe, EU TRAINNET, is meeting for the 6th Annual Conference in Skopje, in hotel “Karpos”, this 14th and 15th November. Participants are coming from all member organisations in the network, as well as from other partner organisations. The full list includes organisations from Albania, Croatia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia. This year for the first time participants are welcomed from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
